An Overview Of Google Wave From The Google Wave Team

100K Google Wave invites went out today and there are a lot of people wondering what it is, what it’s for and what it can do. Here’s an 8 minute video from the Google team that answers those questions and provides some visual walkthroughs of the main features. I haven’t gotten on this thing yet, but I find it *super interesting* that the team highlights the Twitter extension that effectively turns wave into a full on Twitter client in the demo. That ought to shake things up quite a bit.

Without a doubt Google Wave is offering a new paradigm with regards to internet-based computing, but the jury is still out as to whether it will see wide-spread adoption. Is this the next best thing, or too complicated for the average user to understand?

product that isn't well received, so this is a bit of a surprise. Still,
it's early in the game. We'll see,

Well I am five minutes into the video and have already decided I like it! Many things are coming to mind but just using it as a simple ongoing project task list seems awesome. Looking forward to explore the wave this week!

That's a good point Alan. It does seem like it would be a worth team
productivity tool. We'll see. If you get an invite, please consider sending
      one my way ;-)
