Jeff - Well said...

"Public discourse and engagement actually makes all of us stronger and better for it."

I completely agree. Being critical, challenging people and organizations to rethink and debate is so important. This is one of the key lessons of blogging and why we should still foster the idea that long form content is king. I wish more people blogged for this reason. It helps you grow by getting you comfortable with expressing your opinion openly (and encouraging discussion) and developing a consistent voice on issues and ideas that you think are important. I'm glad you're blogging - and btw, congratulations on your recent success your articles on Twitip and Alltop.

Steffan:

Beauty personified once again. Thank you for sharing those six tips.

Being new to the blogger side of the Web 2.0 culture, I've quickly learned that it's ok to have an opinion and to publicly disagree with leaders. I'm not talking politics. Everyone has an opinion about that. I recently challenged a professional association to do things better, differently and become remarkable instead of status quo. People have engaged in the conversation online about this association and it's the first time this association has had public debate. Those that disagree with their actions are speaking up online. And, it’s a good thing. Public discourse and engagement actually makes all of us stronger and better for it.
