The Last Time I Saw Dan Zaccagnino He Was Just Some 15 Year Old Who Wouldn’t Put His Guitar Down…

September 4, 2009  |

That was over a decade ago. I was one of 7 senior proctors who lived in Memorial House at Choate in 97-98′. Dan was a freshman who we were lucky enough to have in the house. I haven’t seen him since I graduated that year. This morning I caught a clip of him on the Colbert Report talking about the company he co-founded, Indabamusic. You might have heard of it. They’ve built a global community of over 125,000 musicians in 170+ countries. Incredible. So that’s what you’ve been up to, Dan. A very humble hat tip to you…

  • I know that guy.. he's not so cool
  • I'm assuming the heavy use of sarcasm given that he's your business partner.
    ;-)
  • Oh you east coast kids...always accomplishing big things and becoming famous!
  • I started at Choate in '99, graduated in '02, and I also remember Dan as a huge musician.
  • He was huge into music, from day one. I was only at Choate for a year that
overlapped with Dan, but I still have strong memories of him around the dorm
and in Mem circle toting his guitar around. He obviously found his passion
early. Indabamusic is a phenomenon. I almost fell out of my chair when I
found that clip on the web.
  • Yeah, I actually saw that clip live that night on Comedy Central. I was incredibly jealous, but really pumped to see a friend from Choate do so well!
